Singapore Computer Society Announces the First SCS Enterprise Architecture Awards (SCS Enterprise Architecture Chapter's Inaugural Awards)
SINGAPORE: Singapore Computer Society (SCS), the nation’s largest body for infocomm and digital media professionals, is pleased to announce the inaugural SCS Enterprise Architecture (EA) Awards, recognising organisations that have successfully established EA as a culture in driving business transformation, key technology adoption and resource optimisation across various business units to fulfil the corporate’s strategic objectives. The SCS EA Chapter helps to educate the community to ensure the alignment between business and technology from planning to execution, and achieve positive outcomes from technology investments.
Speaking during the Launch of SCS EA Awards, Mr Aaron Tan, President of Singapore Computer Society EA Chapter said "This award will reaffirm the importance of EA and the value it brings to the organisation in the pursuit of economic and customer centric excellence by effectively enabling their digital transformation efforts across the enterprise. It will also attract more EA practitioners into our community to establish a Center of Excellence for EA and foster an effective business-driven architecture practice for businesses, organisations and institutions in Singapore.”
Digital Transformation, Digital Innovation and Digital Customer Experience have dominated top organisations’ strategic agenda in recent years and EA have been recognised in enabling this agenda through EA capabilities. EA has evolved and moved pragmatically to help organisations transform towards digital with the realisation of the Digital Enterprise Map that helps surface new capabilities and support a continuous and sustainable digital transformation journey.
Singapore as the Centre of Excellence for Enterprise Architecture
The SCS EA Awards is the first EA award in Singapore honouring the strategic value of EA adoption, with significant impact on organisations’ efforts in embracing transformational opportunities that are customer-led, insights-driven, agile, and seamlessly integrated.
This award will establish Singapore as the Centre of Excellence for EA practices providing a platform for collaboration, the exchange of ideas and sharing of best practices in helping local organisations to enhance their agility, global competitiveness and the pursuit of excellence. Local organisations will be given the opportunity to showcase their outstanding and successful stories of EA’s strategic leadership, business outcomes and impact derived from their EA adoption.
The award’s two categories are as follows:
Digital Transformation & Innovation
Customer Centricity & Service Excellence
This category recognises organisations that have adopted EA to drive continuous Digital Transformation and Innovation.
This category recognises organisations that have adopted EA to enhance and improve Customer Centricity and Service Excellence.
“The contributions and achievements from the nominees will demonstrate the significant development and impact of digital innovation through excellent Enterprise Architecture establishments. This will also encourage the adoption of Enterprise Architecture as an integral part of the digital culture that inspires infocomm innovation and excellence thus raising the bar in the industry and propelling the realisation of a digital nation,” said Dr Chong Yoke Sin, President of Singapore Computer Society.
Nominations are encouraged from any Singapore registered company, parent company or a subsidiary company that is linked to a Singapore registered company. The Call for Nominations opens till 30 July 2021 and all submissions are to be submitted at www.scs.org.sg/awards/eaawards/2021/nomination-form.
